Jahan Moghadam – Chair

Jahan serves as a Trustee and is on the Board of Directors of ShareACause.  He is an executive for WorldWide Solutions and GWECC (Green Energy). On business trips to Africa, he takes time to visit orphanages and donates clothes and supplies contributed from friends and family back in the United States. Jahan has been involved with several nonprofit organizations, which includes but is not limited to: Red Cross, The Humane Society, JustCauz, Make-A-Wish, Disabled American Veterans, and several local homeless shelters and charities. He is also part of the weekend warrior crew delivering food, bottles of water and clothing to the homeless community in Washington D.C. Jahan holds a B.S. with Honors from James Madison University, and an M.S. from the University of Virginia. He currently sits on the Advisory Board for the McIntire School at the University of Virginia. His best friend is his dog Koby.

Thuy Tran

Thuy serves as a Trustee of ShareACause and provides IT support for ShareACause. She is a Senior Software Engineer at Powertek. She lives in Manhattan and is a graduate of James Madison University.  Other charities that she is passionate about and has donated to are the Red Cross, Food Bank for New York City, Dream Big Foundation – Feeding NYC, International Medical Corp, Global Giving Foundation, the Humane Society, The Kelly Foundation – Native American Education Program, and Center for Urban Community Services. She is a foodie, certified scuba diver, loves to travel, and loves animals.

Leana Derbarghamian

Leana serves as a Trustee as well as General Counsel to ShareACause. She is the founder of Leana Law Group, a law firm serving the DC-Metropolitan area. She is active in both Armenian Churches located in Washington, DC. Leana has lead a number of youth groups in MD and DC focusing on child education, community development, and social networking. She founded the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Youth Professionals of DC. She is passionate about helping those suffering from economic crisis secure jobs, educating young adults in the importance of reinstating goals despite downfalls, as well as partnering up with other charitable organizations – such as Kassir Foundation, DC Central Kitchen, Miriam’s Kitchen – in the distribution of food and clothing to the homeless. Leana loves to spend time with her family and her dog Chubaka, to serve God, and enjoys traveling.

Reina Jabbour – Vice

Reina serves on the Board of Directors of ShareACause. She is a Wealth Advisor and the VP of Institutional Sales for Preston Wealth Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisory firm in Reston, VA. She recently graduated from the World Executive M.B.A. program at George Washington University where she had the opportunity to travel to and study emerging and developing markets such as Ethiopia and Turkey. She is part of the weekend warrior crew delivering food, bottles of water and clothing to the homeless community in Washington DC. She brings lots of energy and creativity to all events. She loves good conversations, being with family and friends, music, arts and crafts, event planning, and traveling the world. Reina holds a B.B.A from the George Washington University with a major in Finance and a MBA from the George Washington University with a concentration in International Business. Reina is also a member of the International Business Honor’s Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.

Omar Sider

Omar is an advisory board member of ShareACause. He is a President of SuperStarTickets, where fans can buy and sell tickets to sports, concerts and theatre events nationwide. Each year, SuperStarTickets donates and give away over 1000 event tickets to the Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club, Food Bank, and many non profits in the local community. Omar was born and raised in Arlington, VA and is a graduate of Leadership of Arlington – class of 2013. He has worked with Miriam’s Kitchen, helping serve food and passing out clothing to the less fortunate. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing chess, stock market, and poker.

Jeff King

Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of ShareACause. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Jeff was able to acquire the hands-on experience necessary to run businesses at a very young age. Jeff is the President of Jeff King & Associates, which specializes in the acquisition and development of commercial and residential projects in the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia areas. He is also the Managing Partner of GreenRock Construction & Development, which specializes in residential and commercial construction, founded with the simple goal of delivering a higher quality product for a more reasonable price. They have continued to stay true to this philosophy while being a GREEN builder specializing in high end custom homes, chic condominiums and restaurant build outs in the Washington, DC area. Jeff has been involved with several nonprofit organizations, which includes but is not limited to: The Kassir Foundation, The Humane Society, Red Cross, JustCauz, Make-A-Wish, National Wild Turkey Federation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat For Humanity, and several local homeless shelters and charities. He is also part of the weekend warrior crew delivering food, bottles of water and clothing to the homeless community in Washington D.C. Jeff is a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Small Business Management

Star Morrad

Star serves on the Board of Directors of Share A Cause.  She is a Washington D.C. native, and a resident of Arlington County.  She is a new mother of twin girls, and a Real Estate Consultant with Keller Williams Capital Properties. Her compassion and strong desire to help others has recently led her to pursue a career in nursing. She has always had a passion for philanthropy.  She’s helped raise funds for various non-profit organizations, volunteered with Miriam’s Soup Kitchen, assisted with donation drives for international refugees, passed out food, clothing, and toiletries to the local shelters, and homeless community. She has even stretched far across the globe to fund a water well project in the town of Meymana, Afghanistan, to supply safe clean drinking water for children attending a segregated school, and it’s surrounding community.  Her patronage led her to receive the Keller Williams Capital Properties Culture Ambassador Award in 2013.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family & friends.

Sam Saïd

Sam serves on the Board of Directors of ShareACause. He is a Sales Executive at Modis, a publicly traded IT Staffing & Consulting Firm as well as a Real Estate Consultant with Keller Williams Realty. Sam has been involved and volunteers for several nonprofit organizations, including Coptic Orphans, AFAC, United Way, Mission Life Center and Kassir Foundation. He is part of the weekend warrior crew delivering food and clothing to the homeless community in the DC Metro Area. Sam earned his Degree in Economics from George Mason University. In his spare time, Sam lives life to the fullest, laughs, dances, travels and spends time with his family and friends, most of all, his son Sebastian.

Miles Mattingly

Miles has been involved with ShareACause since 2011.  He is an executive with AT&T’s Antenna Solutions Group. Miles studied Communications at the University of Maryland. He recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA and is working to spread the ShareACause message as he begins expanding ShareACause’s charitable mission in the greater Los Angeles area.

Jangela Shumskas

Jangela serves on the Board of Directors of ShareACause. She earned her MA in Strategic Security Studies at the National Defense University, College of International Security Affairs and has been actively involved in her community for decades. She began a community recycling program at age 12 and has volunteered with organizations such as Students Helping Other People (SHOP), the DARE Program, and the Baltimore Inner City Youth Mentoring Program. Jangela also served as a volunteer docent at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History for the duration of the “Dig It – Secrets of Soil” exhibit. From a fundraising perspective, Jangela has participated in several bike-a-thons for charities including Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Food & Friends, Lance Armstrong Foundation, and the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund. She has also walked for the National Psoriasis Foundation and the Walter Whitman Clinic. Over the last decade, she has raised over $30,000 for these charities. From a planning perspective, Jangela formerly served on the advisory board for an event hosted by the Medical Eye, Dental, International Care Organization (MEDICO). The DC event raised over $20,000 for a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) program in Honduras. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, hiking, biking, and writing and is actively involved with a DC/Berlin based book and film club.
